For buildings that were built according to building regulations, a fire alarm system (BMI) is mandatory. For the guaranteed alert transmission of signals to the public emergency room of the regional fire brigade, or a private emergency room (PAC), you need reliable fire alert transmission equipment.
Hotels, hospitals, homes for the elderly, day care centres, and public buildings are just a few examples of locations that have to meet high fire safety requirements. It is not enough to have a fire alarm system – you must also be sure that it actually works!
The signals and reports from your BMS must reach the emergency room, and you must be able to prove that they actually do (Verification of Performance, VoP). And that is exactly what the state-of-the-art fire alert transmitters of ASB do!
BMS-O IP/GPRS: our fire alert transmitter for private and commercial use
The fire alert transmitter BMS-O IP/GPRS was developed by ASB, it is widely applicable in fire alert transmission systems, and it is certified for reliable transmission to your OMS or PAC. The BMS-O IP/GPRS is the first CertAlarm-registered fire alert transmitter that meets the highest European standard for fire alert transmission according to CEN EN54 and Cenelec EN50136-1.
Technical product overview BMS-O IP/GPRS:
Integrated solution
The BMS-O IP/GPRS has an integrated autonomous power supply, 8 alarm in ports, a serial interface, Ethernet and GPRS IP alert transmission and an optional integrated ADSL or ADSL2(+) modem.
Remote management
The BMS-O IP/GPRS is compatible with the remote management platform (RMS), that ASB-Security developed. This platform allows ASB to computerize the operation, configuration management, system diagnosis, software updates and the collection of statistical information.
Plug & Play operation
The RMS platform for managing the BMS-O IP/GPRS makes the operation very simple. By loading the configuration(s) in RMS beforehand, local configuration is superfluous, and a lot of time is saved when putting the system into operation.
Verification of Performance (VoP)
The BMS-O IP/GPRS uses patented continuous monitoring, logging, and reporting of all performance criteria, such as: transmission times, availability and reporting times. This statistical information is reported automatically, and gives an insight into the alert transmission systems’ performance at any given time.
Reliable
ASB has developed its own multipad alert transmission technology. This technology meets the highest performance criteria within the applicable standards.
Safe
Although the European standard for fire alert transmission (EN54) does not require this explicitly, ASB has applied the highest levels of information and substitution protection for both alert transmission categories Type1 and Type2.
